June Update - Sideline Reporting

Last week I had the opportunity to once again work for CrossFit Media as a sideline reporter for one of their regional competitions.

In 2014, I reported from the Canada West Regional in Richmond, BC. Last year, I was at the West Regional in Tacoma, WA. On Thursday I flew to Albany, NY for the 2016 West Regional.

It was an exciting competition and I conducted over 30 live interviews throughout the weekend. It was great to flex some sideline reporting muscle again. I even had the opportunity to interview the champion of the 2015 Reebok CrossFit Games, Katrin Davidsdottir from Iceland, a number of times. We had a good rapport, evidenced by this tweet.

At Global, it sure has been nice to deliver weather forecasts that people actually enjoy! The warm weather is here to stay across the country. Speaking of warmer weather, beach season is now here, too. And my beach body was a topic of conversation during the anchor chat on Global Winnipeg.

Here's my on-air schedule at Global for June (all times local). Except this weekend, I will be sports anchoring the early newscasts both Saturday and Sunday.

Wednesday and Thursday - 10 p.m. newscast for Winnipeg, Regina, and Saskatoon

Friday - 10 p.m. newscast for Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, 11 p.m. for Toronto, and  Montreal

Saturday and Sunday - 10 p.m. newscast for Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Regina and the Maritimes, 11 p.m. for Toronto, and  Montreal

Thanks for reading and watching!
