May Update - The Warmth Is Here

Finally, the weather tide is turning in Southern Ontario. Warm temperatures have been here with consistency and I've certainly taken advantage.

Since retiring from baseball, my new sports of choice are golf and tennis. This is only my third year playing tennis, so my game is still very rocky, but I'm making improvements each and every match I play.

And I've been playing golf since I was a kid, but was always terrible. For some reason, I've gotten less terrible recently. So, I've got that going for me, which is nice.

I want to share a very cool career highlight. I've been filling in on The National periodically during the week, which means I share the same screen with Peter Mansbridge at times. And I was lucky enough to capture his intro of me on April 23 on my digital camera.

It's pretty cool to be name-dropped by a broadcasting legend.

Here's a look at my May schedule. Of course, depending on what area of the country you live in, you may not be able to see me at these times as TWN runs five different feeds: British Columbia, Alberta, GTA, Atlantic and National (all times are ET). And you can see me, periodically, during these times on CBC News Network and on The National and CBC Toronto on Sunday nights.
